The way a cancer grows, outwitting the body's defense mechanisms, differs from one type of cancer to another and changes even during the growth of a single tumor. Because of this, the most effective way to fight the disease often involves a combination of different modalities.
At Medical Consultants, we are skilled and use a variety of advanced treatment techniques and are dedicated to applying every valid tool available to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. In addition, we participate in national research studies called clinical trials that are designed to measure the effectiveness of new treatments. Through our participation in these trials as well as shared training experiences, we maintain relationships with a variety of medical research institutions nationwide, which helps us keep abreast of the latest treatment advances. It also allows us to refer patients to take part in these clinical trials when appropriate.
